Luna Moth


Bob noticed a luna moth in our tree yesterday. I had to climb up on a chair to photograph him and then scared him off. A cardinal almost snagged him for lunch but he got away and hid in another tree. He blends right in with the leaves.

4th of July Fireworks



Brevard’s fireworks display wasn’t extravagant, but it was very good and you could see it from just about anywhere in town. You didn’t have to pay six bucks to park a mile away and then walk – you could park anywhere (for free) and see them from your car. We put a quilt in the bed of Bob’s truck and watched the display in comfort. They seemed to look better with my glasses off. Claire sort of captured that effect with her photos…

4th of July Street Fair in Brevard



About six blocks of Main and Broad Streets in Brevard were blocked off for a street fair on Saturday. I somehow was talked into doing wire wrapping demos at Local Color’s booth. Fortunately, Bob came along and ferried coffee from the Starbucks.
