Hummingbird Moth

So Claire came inside claiming to have taken a picture of a “hummingbird with antennae”. I thought her GIMP skills were astoundingly improved until I found him in the Audubon bug book.

      Thanks, Kevin! I’ll tell Claire you said so. It wasn’t an easy shot – he was darting around and she was very anxious to get the picture – a lot like your hummer photos. And, yes, he was big; just a bit smaller than a hummer.
