I also posted dogwood today. It looks like you have a different species based on the shape of the leaves. I really like dogwood. Nice photo!

Thank you, CT! This is a cornus florida. Its range doesn’t include northern Minnesota (yet). Its fall foliage isn’t nearly as vibrant as yours – it turns a dark red in splotches, but in the winter, its bright red berries attract lots of birds.
