I have no idea what these are, but the buds are quite photogenic!

This could be a bride bouquet.!
So delicate and beautiful !
I think so too! I’m thinking about going back there with a flower pot and a garden shovel.
Totally agree with you!

betty does THAT — a lot !
So, it might kind of be in a National Forest. Do you think I should go at night with the headlights off?
Interesting and beautiful!
Yes – nature has so many surprises for us!
It looks so tropical and exotic for around here!
I can see that, beautiful times 🙂
Looks like Mountain Laurel.

Thank you! I was hoping a gardener or botanist would stop by; the flowers’ configuration is so odd. It’s even odder than I thought! The stamens are like little catapults. A mechanical flower.
Well, I’m not a botanist for sure! Mountain Laurel is the state flower of Pennsylvania where I live. When we hike, we see a lot of it in the forests. It looks exactly like what we call Mountain Laurel, but I could be mistaken.
Your photo is beautiful.
No – you’re absolutely right! We have them all over here in Western North Carolina, too. I mostly notice them in the winter because they’re evergreens. I had just never looked at the spring blooms up close before.
I’m not sure either but it is beautiful!!
Thank you! (I really should be noting things like leaves, branches and bark when I want to be able to ID things later.)
