Snow Day!

We had a few inches of snow on the ground yesterday morning and they cancelled school. That seemed pretty wussy to me – in Minnesota, you had to have at least a foot before they called a snow day. But then, there aren’t a lot of twisty mountain roads in suburban Minneapolis.

It alternated between sleet and snow all day and when it got colder in the afternoon, it all froze. The hill the kids are sliding down was impassable – a couple of uphill neighbors had to park there 4x4s in our driveway and walk home last night.
